VIVA PILIPINAS?
PARTY Pilipinas starts airing this Sunday but we heard some GMA folks are not that happy as a lot of the new recruits in the show are not homegrown GMA talents but are borrowed from Viva Entertainment. This includes Mark Bautista and the all-male song and dance group XLR8 (Exhilarate) consisting of newcomers Arkin del Rosario, Melmar and Meljon Magno, Hediaki Torio, Francis Ramos, Carlo Lazerna, Caleb Santos and Aga Muhlach’s half brother, Adrian Muhlach. They already have a popular single, “You’re So Hot.” They’re supposed to attract young female viewers with their clean cut good looks.
Then there’s the all-female song and dance group, Eurasia, with Gail Nicolas, Lana Roy, Sarah Polverin, and Christine Nieto, plus the all girl teen group called Pop Girls. Their sexiness and irresistible charms are intended to bring in the male viewers. All groups were formed by Viva then made to go through a period of rigid training in song and dance. Is it true someone from GMA said: “In-invade na tayo ng Viva!”
Hindi ko siya nagustuhan! As in…
i don’t agree at all.. well personally I don’t like XLR8.. they’re trying to introduce another boy band who will soon sink down.
but the other artist like Yassi are good..
and I don’t consider Party Pilipinas as a failure!
