With Marc and Amy’s lively and well-loved antics, “Sakto” tackles social issues in a lighter but engaging manner and delivers extensive discussions on family matters, human interest stories, and success tales that will inspire the masses.
Marc said DZMM’s listeners and viewers get to see a different side of him other than the one that is known for delivering humorous reports in “TV Patrol.”
“In this show, I have the opportunity to showcase what I know and what I have to share, not just jokes and funny stories. For 60 minutes, I get to share my take on different topics that are relevant to the public,” shared Marc.
Amy, meanwhile, said she is thankful for the opportunity to deliver good news and inspirational stories that cheer people up.
“All I and Marc want is to make our audiences happy, because we know people go through a lot everyday and our country faces a lot of challenges. So somehow, our punch lines make people smile and touch their hearts. It already means a lot to us,” Amy said.
In the segment “Panalo Ka Diyan,” parents are given a chance to showcase and take pride in their children’s achievements by showing photos of their notable moments. Moms and dads, meanwhile, are the stars in “’Nay Ko Po” and “’Tay Naman.”
Marc and Amy also help listeners and viewers, especially the housewives, in fixing the family’s weekly food budget with their recipe ideas in “Lutong Bahay.” The program also features trending personalities in “Guest Who.”
Real-life dad and mom Marc and Amy also offer advice to parents for common problems at home.
ABS-CBN head of Integrated News and Current Affairs Ging Reyes, meanwhile, said “Sakto” is a breather from all the hard news and commentaries that DZMM is known for.
“We’re happy that Marc and Amy are now in daytime radio. We love to hear their take on so many things. We’ve seen them in action and their chemistry is undeniable. They are witty, funny, and are natural comedians who will perk up your mornings. I trust that the show will go places,” she said.
DZMM station manager Marah Capuyan said, “People want things that are ‘sakto’ or sufficient for them – no more, no less. There is no dull moment with Amy and Marc. The objective of the program is to lighten up the mood of the listeners and viewers when they are preparing their lunch at home or when they are still preparing to go to work.”
