Anna Line, who is born to a Filipina mother and a Norweigian father, will be competing in a tough Women’s Short program where she hopes to land in the Top 24. The 20-year old figure skater is the first Noreweigian skater to represent her country in the competition after five decades.
The Women’s Figure Skating is considered the marquee competition in figure skating. The Filipino-Norwegian skater will face tough competition Kim Yu-Na of Korea and Mao Asada of Japan. Russian skaters like Adelina Sotnikova and Julia Lipnitskaia also figure to top in the early round of competition.
Anna Line will be someone for Filipino viewers to follow this Wednesday as she skates in the Short Program. Should she also qualifiy in this Thursday’s Free Program event, TV5 will also air it LIVE starting at 11pm.
