The awards night opened with the back-to-back performances of “The Voice Philippines” finalists Klarisse, Janice and Morisette. The stage was also shared by artists from different television networks with a string of never-before-seen performances from top music acts like Up Dharma Down, Jonalyn Viray, KZ Tandingan, Christian Bautista, Jay-R, Kyla, Sam Concepcion, Quest, Thyro, and Yumi. American singer-actress Renee Olstead also performed onstage, who’s in the country for a concert on March 29.

MYX declared band Parokya ni Edgar as this year’s MYX Magna Awarde. The MYX Magna Award was given to those who have shaped the local music scene. The awarding was made even more special with a tribute medley performed by Yeng Constantino, Marion Aunor, Rico Blanco, Gloc-9.
