March 28, 2014 (QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES) – There is no denying it as Philippine global television’s most adored couple, Richard ‘Ser Chief’ Lim (Richard Yap) and the lovable yaya Maya (Jodi Sta. Maria) get closer to admitting their feelings and register another kilig moment this April in “Be Careful With My Heart Rewind” on The Filipino Channel (TFC).
On the first week of TFC’s sub-titled version of “Be Careful With My Heart,” which airs April 5, London and Pacific Time (April 6, Sydney, Tokyo, and Riyadh time), ‘Ser Chief’ catches Maya enjoying time with her boss, Captain James Ventura (Luis Manzano). Ser Chief feels uneasy, almost jealous, because he saw how happy Maya was with her other boss. ‘Ser Chief’ confronts Maya and in a surprising turn of events, reprimands his employee for her actions. Maya feels belittled by Ser Chief’s choice of words and a rift ensues between the two. Back at the Lim residence, Maya’s colleagues and ward Abby (Mutya Orquia) feel the tension.
On the second week (April 12 London and Pacific time and April 13 Sydney, Tokyo and Riyadh time), Maya gets homesick because Christmas is just around the corner in this version of the well-loved series. She phones her Nanay Teresa (Sylvia Sanchez) and starts crying, telling her mother how much she misses the family. Fueling Maya’s desire to go home further is the fact that she has not yet been on speaking terms with Ser Chief since the incident at the training. However, Ser Chief upon seeing Maya crying on the phone, requests his secretary to book Maya a flight home to San Nicolas, her hometown.
When Maya arrives in San Nicolas, she decides to disclose the truth to her Nanay Teresa and Mamang (Divina Valencia) – that she is not working as an overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Dubai but as a yaya in Manila, in exchange for her aviation training. Expecting she would be scolded for her white lie, she gets surprised as her mother and grandmother accepts the truth and advises her to study hard in order to achieve her dream.
On the following week (April 19, London and Pacific Time and on April 20, Sydney, Tokyo, and Riyadh time) Maya’s sister Kute (Aiza Seguerra) and her son, Cho (JM Ibañez) meet the latter’s father, Jeff’s (Tom Rodriguez) family for the first time. Awkward at first, because of Kute’s gender preference, the situation lightens as Cho wins Jeff’s parents over with his cuteness.
Meantime, at the Lim residence, Luke (Jerome Ponce), Nikki (Janella Salvador), and Abby urge their dad to surprise Maya in San Nicolas and woo her back to become the Abby’s yaya once again. ‘Ser Chief,’ admittedly missing Maya, approves of the request and flies to San Nicolas the next day.
In the April 26 episode (London and Pacific time, April 27 Sydney, Tokyo, and Riyadh time), Kute, goes back to San Nicolas and is astounded to see Maya. Maya tells Kute that she has resigned from the Lim residences and can now work for their family eatery called Tsibugan. Little does she know that ‘Ser Chief’ has not yet actually approved her resignation. Ser Chief together with his three kids arrives, much to Maya’s surprise. ‘Ser Chief’ tells Maya they are in San Nicolas for a vacation but the truth is he wants her to come back. Another kilig month ends on a high note as ‘Ser Chief’ starts to realize and face the fact that he might be falling for Maya.
