There are several options when it comes to protecting your valuable phones in a severe environment. I am a Blogger and I have come to heavily depend on my iPhone, but my everyday activities bring me into some places that are pretty dangerous for a glass phone. Since our phones contain a lot of data including contacts, schedules, I can blog using my phone, etc., it deserves some protection, protection against dust, water and the most common scenario, falling off to a surface.
This is the reason why I’m so much interested with the Ballistic Case launch happened at Century Mall on May 7. Well, Ballistic Case Co. was officially launched in the Philippines on that event. It presented its complete product line-up along with its aggressive market-positioning initiative, ‘Perfecting Protection.’ Every Ballistic case offers at least six feet of certified drop protection, with some models offering protection up to 12 feet. Ballistic packaging highlights these ratings, enabling Ballistic to lead the industry by clearly defining the level of protection offered by each case.
In six-foot corner drop tests, the Ballistic SG Maxx, for example, cut g-forces that can damage dropped phones by 17.6 percent compared to the OtterBox Commuter and by 27.3 percent when matched against the OtterBox Armor. Meanwhile, in eight-foot corner drop tests, the Ballistic Hard Core outperformed OtterBox competitors, reducing g-forces by 26.9 percent compared to the OtterBox Defender.
Ballistic’s lineup of rugged cases continues to offer the ultimate protection. In independent lab tests by Certifi Groupi, the Ballistic Hydra case for the iPhone 5 provided waterproof protection while submerged under seven feet of water for 30 minutes, and one hour of protection while submerged at three feet.
Ballistics cases are available for Apple, HTC, Motorola, Sony, Samsung and LG devices. In the Philippines, Ballistic cases are available at Digital Walker, Beyond the Box, Digital Hub, Quick Sound, Celplus, Datalink Technologies, Digital Hub, District 32, Ecentral Cellphone Electronics, iGig, iStore, iStudio, iCenter, iBook, Switch, JMB Albay, Lenin Computer System, Mobile 1, Seatac, Wellworth, Sync, Technopop, Urbanize and Vertex. The safest place for my phone is not to use it. But then, what’s the use if I’ll just put it at home in a safe place and won’t use it? Anyways, I’m using it now for my iPhone 5. We’ll see…
