Before Jaclyn Jose won her Best Actress award at the 69th Cannes Film Festival for Brillante Mendoza’s “Ma’ Rosa,” Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca won his second Best Actor award for the movie “Mulat,” this time from World Cinema Festival Brazil. The film also received Best Narrative Feature at the same awards ceremony.
On May 23, Star Magic, Jake Cuenca’s talent management, proudly congratulated the actor for winning Best Actor in World Cinema Festival Brazil, “Congratulations @juancarloscuenca World Cinema Festval Brazil Best Actor for the movie “Mulat””
Jake won his very first Best Actor Award in 2014 for this movie at the International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM).
In the film, Jake falls for a mysterious woman (Loren Burgos) with a “strange mental affliction.” His character clashes with Ryan Eigenmann, who portrays the other strong male character in the story.
