This coming new year, ABS-CBN’s official AM radio station DZMM is debuting a new tandem in public service.
Starting January 2, veteran broadcast journalists Julius Babao and Bernadette Sembrano will work hand-in-hand to help address the needs, issues, and concerns of Filipinos all over the world in DZMM’s new flagship public service program, “ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya sa DZMM.”
The program will be simulcast from Monday to Friday, 11am on DZMM Radyo Patrol 630 on AM radio, on DZMM TeleRadyo on cable and ABS-CBN TVplus, and online via livestreaming on www.dzmm.com.ph.
Babao, known as “Aksyon Man”, and Sembrano, also called “Ate B” in her other public service program “Salamat Dok” and “TV Patrol” will be in the forefront of helping find solutions to Filipinos’ public service needs with segments such as “Aksyon Ngayon sa Lingkod Kapamilya,” wherein they will receive complaints against civil servants or local governments, reports of domestic or child abuse, environmental concerns, and requests for assistance from victims of calamities.
The program will also feature ABS-CBN’s public service programs that can benefit the listeners and viewers, give platform to people looking for their missing relatives and professional help for their medical conditions, as well as grievances of overseas Filipino workers.
On a lighter note, the program will also feature inspiring stories, resolved cases, and also educate people about certain illnesses and give tips on how to prevent being victimized by criminals’ new modus operandi.
Overall, the show will be helping people get linked to proper government agencies that can best help or respond to their concerns swiftly and efficiently. There will also be on-ground activities for Lingkod Kapamilya.
