Award awinning director Cathy Garcia-Molina announced that she will be leaving “La Luna Sangre” as she will be directing an upcoming film under Star Cinema.
On June 27, Star Cinema revealed through their Instagram account that they will be producing a film titled “Seven Sundays”. The film production also emphasized that the flick will be directed by Direk Cathy.
The “La Luna Sangre” director, whose also responsible for first Moonstone Trilogy series “Lobo” in 2008, will be replaced by directors Richard Arellano and GB Sampedro.
During her interview with ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe, Direk Cathy confessed she does not want to leave the hit fantaserye. However, she stressed that it’s her “duty” to adhere ABS-CBN big bosses’ decision.
Aside from “Ang Probinsyano”, “La Luna Sangre” has gained incredible TV ratings under her direction and labeled as one of the most exciting pilot weeks of local television in the past years.
Moreover, “Seven Sundays” will star Kapamilya actors Aga Muhlach, Enrique Gil, Cristine Reyes and Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes.
