- The other half of the phenomenal love team, AlDub, Maine Mendoza doesn’t really consider herself sexy.
- It’s quite ironic for someone who exudes confidence wearing her swimsuits in her photos taken during her vacation in Maldives which had earned her a spot in FHM magazine’s “100 sexiest list.”
- In her recent interviews, the dubsmash queen said that her inclusion on the top 10 sexiest is merely some joke.
- Despite her self-deprecating humor, Maine is grateful for the fans and the people who consider her sexy.
- She revealed that she was surprised when she learned she’s part of the said magazine’s “100 sexiest” list. She has never considered herself sexy.
TV host and dubsmash queen Maine Mendoza never even imagine that one day she’d be included on the top 10 of FHM’s “100 sexiest.”
“Kalokohan ‘to! Yan lang ang masasabi ko—isang malaking joke na mapabilang ako sa FHM top 10 sexiest,” was Maine’s initial reaction when she learned she’s on the prestigious list.

For someone who’s not confident enough with how her body looks like, being on the said list was completely not in her vocabulary. Maine admitted that when she posted and uploaded her photos while wearing her two-piece swimsuits while she and her sister were having a blast in Maldives, she’s got no inkling that by doing so, she’d be able to land a spot on FHM’s “sexiest list.”
Maine, as luck would have it, entered the “100 sexiest list” of the said men’s magazine after photos of her in her swimsuits started circulating on the net. It’s Maine’s first time to be included in the list topped by Nadine Lustre who was hailed as the “sexiest woman” in the Philippines for 2017.
The Dubsmash queen is still in that ‘pinch-yourself’ surreal moment. “Pero thank you na rin po for considering me [as sexy],” said Maine. Her photos in sexy swimsuits were the last thing Maine would even think to go trending and viral on social media.
She still couldn’t believe she made it to the list because she considers herself as “buto’t-balat lang.” Maine admitted she’s not even prepared to bare her skin in Maldives.
But she gave emphasis on finding the right angle to make her tummy look smaller when she says in reality it’s actually bigger.
Meanwhile, Maine is the newest member of the growing family of JOLLY Food Line, Fly Ace’s first owned brand for canned vegetables and fruits, was born. She was presented during the company’s 20th year celebration athe Solaire Grand Ballroom last Tuesday night. According to Fly Ace, they chose her to be their celebrity endorser because of her bubbly personality, passion for food, and her love of her family.
“When we were looking for the next celebrity ambassador for JOLLY, we wanted to make sure that her personality matched the brand’s personality, which, well, a jolly person,” AVP for Marketing Abigail Ng-Reyes explained.
“We also wanted an endorser to be familiar with the kitchen, kasi JOLLY is being used in kitchens all over the Philippines.”
