One of today’s most in-demand Kapamilya performers, Jona Viray, couldn’t be any more grateful for all the blessings showering her career path. Despite the challenges her family faced recently, the singer remained resilient and brave to let the show go on.
That is why, this Saturday, at the Theater in Solaire, “PrimaJona” concert will make yet another history.
Celebrating her birthday and her 12th year in the music industry, Jona will team up with fellow giants like the Asia’s Songbird herself, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
She will also be led under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga to put up an incredible show for all her loyal fans and audience.
During her grand media launch yesterday in Katipunan, Jona said that she misses her late father.
“I miss him a lot. There are songs in our lineup dedicated to those people we’ve lost and loved. But now that my father’s gone, I don’t how I can sing those songs, but I will try my very best,” Jona said.
The 27-year-old Birit Queen also shared how she coped with the recent passing of her father, Fernando Viray.
“There was a time na nasa banyo po ako, naisip ko bigla si daddy. Hindi pa rin kasi ako makapaniwala na ganun ka-bilis. Sa isang iglap, wala na. Umiyak na lang po ako ng tahimik na iyak,” Jona recalled.
Jona emotionally shared her message for her father which she never got the chance to say before he left, “In the future, sana makasama ka sa out of country trips ko. ‘Yun po isa sa mga dreams ko sa family ko.”
