- Regine Velasquez acknowledges the issue that she has become an outdated performer.
- She will also have a concert with other Original Pilipino Music singers.
- She also admitted that she has already appreciated the time she has.
In the recent #paMORE press conference, Regine Velasquez admitted that she feels like she started becoming an outdated performer. The Asia’s Songbird also noted that concert producers started putting her off their list of performers. She also added that it has become a huge change from her prime.
In the said press conference, Regine reacted on the said issue.
I’m very aware of where I am now.”
Regine also added that she still feel blessed because of the opportunities given to her.
“Alam kong hindi na ito katulad ng dati, hindi na ako ‘yung sikat, alam mo ‘yun, pero I just feel very blessed that I am still given the opportunity to be able to perform or nasa TV pa rin naman ako, kumbaga, may trabaho pa rin naman ako.”
Regine thinks it comes with her age and shared that she has already accepted it. However, she remains stronger than before.
Mahirap lang kapag hindi mo ina-accept kasi magkakaroon ka nang masyadong madaming ilusyon and at the end, you pressure yourself and then you just get heartbroken.”
According to Asia’s Songbird herself, she entered the industry when she was young. Although, she never felt whether she became a popular name or not.
Alam mo ’yun? Ayoko nang isipin… Basta ang alam ko lang, nagtatrabaho ako. Alam ko lang, blessed ako ni Lord, binibigyan pa ako ng work and opportunity to be able to work with other artists.”
Regine continued that she remains enjoying the job she enjoys. She also added that she appreciates the time she has with her son and husband, Ogie Alcasid.
Na-appreciate ko ’yung time na meron ako with my son, na meron ako with my husband.
