Controversies have been proven to even favor ABS-CBN’s latest fantaserye “Bagani” as it easily won against its rival “Kambal Karibal” on its pilot week.
Basing from the numbers released by the two TV ratings agencies, AGB Nielsen and Kantar, “Bagani” comfortably led the competition on its pilot episode.
“Bagani” scored 12.9% versus “Kambal Karibal’s” 8.5% according to AGB Nielsen NUTAM People ratings. A more compelling win was posted by Kantar as Bagani scored 33.4% against Kambal Karibal’s 15.2% on Kantar’s National TV ratings result.
“Bagani’s” win was even stretched the whole week of its pilot airing.
The Kapamilya fantaserye averaged 33.7% based on Kantar’s numbers, 16.9% higher than “Kambal Karibal’s” average of 16.8%.
AGB Nielsen hasn’t released its full week results yet, but based on the 2-day data (March 5- March 6), Bagani also won the NUTAM competition. Bagani posted 12.9% and 12.1% on Monday and Tuesday beating Kambal Karibal’s 8.5% and 9.1% ratings respectively.
The Lizquen Effect
The charm brought about by the LizQuen tandem is still in full force in Bagani.
Although the pilot episode still doesn’t show much of the love angle between the two, it still managed to pull off a great start in terms of ratings.
It even surpassed the pilot ratings of their first teleserye Forevermore which recorded a rating of 27.1% in Kantar.
And just a little bit shy of a couple of points compared to their successful teleserye Dolce Amore which posted a national rating of 35.6%.
But nonetheless, their effect on its newest project together is really evident as it won hands down against its competition considering the series of controversies it endured prior to its pilot.
With their long break in doing teleseryes, LizQuen fans showed they are missed on primetime thus showing their full support to their idol.
And they have proven that LizQuen is still one of the most bankable and sought after love teams in the Philippines.
