Viva head honcho Vic Del Rosario, who is now also manager and business partner of embattled TV game show host Willie Revillame, is ecstatic that the latter has found a new home in TV5.
Revillame has just signed a contract with the network and is set to start a new show, “Willing Willie.”
In a taped interview aired over “Paparazzi,” Sept. 19, Del Rosario crowed about what he deemed a “new and improved” Revillame.
“Mas focused, mas madisiplina, mas kalog…very positive siya, wala siyang bitterness,” Del Rosario said.
Revillame has an ongoing court case against ABS-CBN, the network he had worked with for the longest time and had a falling out with a few months ago after a series of controversies.
Revillame has asked for a termination with his contract with the network, asking for P11.5 million in damages and legal fees. ABS CBN had responded with a P426 million counterclaim.
Del Rosario nonetheless insisted that Revillame’s new show on TV5 will continue as planned.
“[It will air] sometime in October, abangan na lang nila,” he vowed.
Everything is already set for the show, according to Del Rosario, including the 12 houses from Camella Homes which will be given away as prize during the initial telecast of the progam.
“Malaki ang show, bigger, mas masaya.”
And why did Revillame pick TV5?
Del Rosario said the network gave everything Revillame wanted including “full creative freedom” in the conceptualization of the said show.
“Sa huli, kailangan din ni Willie ng isang staston na talagang naniniwala sa kanya ng hundred percent at susuportahan siya sa gusto niya sa programa.”
