Aljur Abrenica officially joined the list of today’s hottest celebrities with the warmest heart for Filipino Children. Some World Vision’s active celebrities are Sam Milby, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Matteo Guidicelli, Ogie Alcasid, Chris Tiu, Nikki Gil, Sam Concepcion, Tippy Dos Santos, and many others who made a commitment to use his time, skills, and influence to encourage more Filipinos to support children in need of education. World Vision’s Child Sponsorship Program helps provide opportunities for education to poor children in areas where poverty is widespread.
Born March 24, 1990 in Pampanga, Aljur will be celebrating is 24th birthday this year. We have seen him as a start from being a finalist from “Starstruck” to being one of the merman of Marian Rivera in “Dyesebel” and now he’s the lead actor in GMA Network’s primetime telefantasya “Kambal Sirena” with Louise delos Reyes. For over seven years in the industry, Aljur has done a lot of great TV series and some remarkable ones are “Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan,” “Luna Mystica,” “Sine Novela: Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?,” “All My Life,” “The Last Prince” and the latest is “Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko.” Most of these shows he’s with Kris Bernal.
Anyways, Aljur is known to have a big heart with the kids. That’s the reason why among other organizations, Aljur together with GMA Artist Center chose World Vision to be part of his advocacy. He is now a sponsor for two kids from some of the poorest provinces World Vision supports. Both of them sent a greeting card to Aljur and was shown during the event.
Aljur was inspired by the fact that the goal of World Vision is to send children who are in deep poverty to study for them to have a better future because that fact that millions of children around the world are undedicated, even if how much they wanted to study, they can’t because their parents can’t provide them education.
Aljur’s birthday event was hosted by Arianne Bautista and Betong Sumaya.
