Annually, people are always looking forward to the “Parade of the Stars” that shows different MMFF 2014 movie entry colorful floats and the casts on it. Fans and supporters weren’t minding the heat of the afternoon just to witness this yearly event of Metro Manila Film Festival.
There are 8 official entries for 40th MMFF combined with different genres: Horror film “Feng Shui 2” and “Shake Rattle and Roll XV”; Comedy film “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin 2” and “My Big Bossing’s Adventure”; Historical drama “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo”; Action-fantasy “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2”; Action film “Magnum Muslim .357”; and Romance-comedy “English Only Policy.”
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino startled the stars when he officially opened the parade exactly 1:30pm. Some stars are not in the starting point yet because of heavy traffic in EDSA while others didn’t make it, but still the show went on. It started on Macapagal Avenue up to Quirino Grandstand.
Among those well-designed floats, fans said it’s Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo stood out best because of its uniqueness. It was a building ruined adorned with murals depicting key battles and moments in Bonifacio’s life. Present to the float are the main casts Robin Padilla and Vina Morales with Daniel Padilla and Jasmin Curtis-Smith. It was also the first float in the parade.

Followed after Bonifacio are My Big Bossing (without Marian Rivera), Feng Shui 2, The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin, Shake Rattle and Roll XV (only Erich Gonzales made it among the other 2 major cast), Magnum Muslim .357, English Only Policy then Kubot.
All the MMFF entries will be shown during the festival period from December 25 until January 7, 2015 nationwide.
