The competition among the remaining ‘komikeros’ heats up in “Funny One,” the biggest comedy search of “It’s Showtime,” where they battle it out to entertain and make the madlang people laugh.
Fighting for their place in this week’s competition are eight komikeros, who come from different parts of the country and were meticulously picked by the ABS-CBN management.
Each day, two komikeros face off to impress the pre-selected “madlang hurado” or studio audience. Non-winners in the daily competition, meanwhile, will be given another chance to perform on Saturdays in “Funny One More Chance,” where two contestants are eliminated based on the scores given by jurors Joey Marquez, Melai Cantiveros, and Herbert Bautista.
This week, comics TJ Valderama, trio No Direction, and Gibis Alejandrino made it through to the next round of the competition, while Nonong Ballinan, Iskobi Duo, and Bob Jbeili will automatically compete in the “Funny One More Chance” this weekend.
Meanwhile, watch out for the upcoming battle between Crazy Duo and Ryan Rems Sarita. Who will get the boot at the end of the week?
Watch the comics improve every day with the help of mentors and veteran funnymen director Bobot Mortiz, Leo Martinez, and Bayani Agbayani, who hosts the segment along with Vhong Navarro and Billy Crawford.
In the end, only one will prevail and will be named the “Funny One,” who will bring home the grand prize of P1 million.
