JC de Vera credits ABS-CBN for his acting career

JC de Vera is heaping praises on his mother network ABS-CBN, for making him a much better actor. He said he is glad that he made the right decision when he became a Kapamilya star.

When JC started out in showbiz 12 years ago, he was more popular for being a hunk than for being an actor. But even during those years, he showed potential of becoming an acclaimed actor.

JC was originally a GMA Artist, who then transferred to TV5 for a 3-year contract. It wasn’t until he joined ABS-CBN in 2013, however, that his dramatic skills were fully explored.

JC de Vera was immediately given his first prime time tv series and starred with Angel Locsin, Maja Salvador, and Jericho Rosales in “The Legal Wife”. His role as Max Gonzales, proved to be a pivotal role in his career. The Legal Wife became one of the most talked-about prime time drama series of 2014. Its episodes became top trending topics on social media and its ratings were way above other series airing on the same time slot.

JC’s breakout role was soon followed by a daytime series, “Moon of Desire”. This year, JC de Vera has much to be thankful for.

Once again, the Kapamilya network tapped on his talents for a new prime time series titled “You’re My Home” which will be launched this coming November. “You’re My Home” is a romantic family drama series that will be topbilled by the love team of Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta, also known as CharDawn. The series will be directed by Jerry Sineneng and will also feature other Kapamilya stars including Jessy Mendiola, Sam Concepcion, and Paul Salas.

Playing the role of Christian Vergara, JC promises that the public will see a more mature side of him. He will be portraying a very different persona, far from his dreamy role in “The Legal Wife”. Judging from the teaser of “You’re My Home”, one can see that JC will once again be the talk of the town.

Watch for the launching of the series on November!
