Yesterday, October 24, 2015 was the continuation of “It’s Showtime’s” 6th Anniversary celebration, right after Kim Atienza has ended his thanksgiving prayer, the TV presenter and comedian Vice Ganda took the stage to express how he feels particularly on the issue about losing on the TV ratings against “Eat Bulaga.”
It was a first time Vice Ganda shared on-air the humble beginning of “Its Showtime”, and how they started. They were happy at first to be placed on the morning time-slot but then, circumstances and the rest of the casts’ destinies have pushed them to change their time-slot from morning show to noon time show.
At first, Vice and his fellow “It’s Showtime” regular casts are hesitant to embrace the change of their schedule to think that they will have the same time airing with “Eat Bulaga.” But when their bosses decided to transfer their show to a noon time slot, Vice asked the bosses if it’s okay to stay with the morning show, since they are happy with their time-slot. But eventually, they have decided to agree with their bosses’ decisions.

Without further ado, Vice told their bosses that they cannot beat “Eat Bulaga” and forever be on top since it is the longest noon-time show that has been running in Philippine History. According to their bosses, they will not compete with rival network’s noon time show which is “Eat Bulaga”, they aim to provide entertainment and you will just accompany them to bring laughter and enjoyment to the people.
Vice Ganda reiterated ever since they received the project for “It’s Showtime” they do not feel any jealousy and intention to compete. He also admitted that since their pilot episode, they already lose in the competition. The casts of GMA Network “Eat Bulaga” remained as their idols and models in terms of entertaining both young and adults and again; they can never beat them and achieve what they have accomplished.
For those bashers who love to criticize their show and to continuously creating issues and telling them to give up already, Vice Ganda gave his two cents about it: “What shall we do, if our show is not the leading noon time show when it comes to ratings? Is it appropriate to stop working and let our show flank? How about some of our fans that never failed to show their support and love towards us? Until there is one person who believe in us, “It’s Showtime” will never say goodbye.
“There’s no point in arguing in any social media platforms” – Vice Ganda
Right before Vice ends his speech on the stage, he also thanked those fans who continue to patronize as well as support him and the “It’s Showtime’s” endeavors.
May the people be reminded on what Vice Ganda has imposed to everybody to stop arguing through social media, he knew some of the people who have lost friends just because of bickering. You should not make combat, in fact the entire hosts of “It’s Showtime” and “Eat Bulaga” are not enemies in real life. They are just doing their job and that is to entertain everyone.
