The rift between Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas and “Beauty and the Bestie” Director Wenn Deramas is all over social media as well as in the news.
Wenn responded to Ai-Ai’s Intragram post regarding the ‘integrity and honesty’ of the people behind “Beauty and the Bestie” for claiming to be the top grosser at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), earning more than “My Bebe Love” and other films.
During the TV5 press conference of “Tasya Fantasya” at the Music Hall Bar, Metro Walk in Pasig City, John “Sweet” Lapus wished that his two “warring” friends will be friends again and patch things up.
Lapus even told Pep that he already anticipated the feud between Ai-Ai and Direk since they both entries in the MMFF. Both celebrities are also part of the rival noontime shows “It’s Showtime” and “Eat Bulaga.”
Lapus as a friend to Ai-Ai and Wenn
Lapus feels that the two will reconcile anytime soon since Director Wenn is willing to forgive although he was hurt by Ai-Ai’s insinuations. Wenn directed the Ai-Ai starrer “Tanging Ina” and they have been friends through the years.
Lapus on MMDA’s delay released of entries’ figures
Lapus was one of the concerned celebrities who wanted to know why it took a long time for the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to release the revenues of each film shown during the MMFF. He said he cannot blame Ai-Ai or any other artist to rant because they have no idea how much their respective films earned.
Lapus pointed out that if the results were released earlier by the MMDA, perhaps Ai-Ai and Wenn be at odds with each other.
