Disney revealed that “Frozen” will have its sequel and they are working on it since August 2015, but “Frozen 2” is yet to be released until 2018, this was in an article on Movienewsguide.com written by Ila Samant last January 6, 2016.
Rumors have it that the newly crowned Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach is said to play an important role in the upcoming sequel – “Frozen 2”, this was discussed in the article on ChristianToday.com , written by Wendy Lemeric dated January 4, 2016.
Speculation started when Disney artist, Jimmy Mulligan posted last December 23, 2015 on Instagram, a clip of his hand sketching on his Ipad Pro the image which seems to appear like Queen Arendelle (the mother of Elsa and Anna). Mulligan hashtagged it #ipadpro #missuniverse #pinay #piaalonzowurtzbach #disneyfied #mulliganart.

He followed up his post on the same day, with the finished drawing of the “disneyfied” Wurtzbach looking like a dark-brown haired Elsa, he even included the hashtag “Frozen.” Which led to the speculation that Miss Universe 2015 may land a role in “Frozen’s” sequel, the report from Christian Today said, that this coincide with what RealtyToday previously reported.
It is also reported that Elsa and Anna will be in a new look. That refers to the sister’s new outfit, but it could also mean their overall physical appearance will also change?
Inspite the ongoing rumors about the “Frozen 2”, the production has not issued any official announcement on what the movie will deliver to the audience. The article also commented that it is not impossible for Disney to consider the reigning Miss Universe to be part of the next “Frozen” movie.
“Frozen 2” will be directed by Chris Buch and Jennifer Lee, Idina Menzel and Kirsten Bell are confirmed to return as the voices of Elsa and Anna, this was further discussed in the article in Christian Today.
If this pushes through, then Pia Wurtzbach will be a possible cast to a new princess character? Well, lets just wait till 2018 when it hit the big screen.
