President-elect Rodrigo Duterte excludes GMA Network from the list of “biased” media

Not all in the media are corrupt or biased.

Since the President-elect commented about corrupt, biased mediamen in relation to the media killings, thousands of fans of the tough-talking 71-year-old Rodrigo Duterte flock to Social Media pages of different media groups to attack them for being “biased.”

“Just because you’re a journalist, you are not exempted from assassination if you’re a son of a b****,” told reporters Tuesday, noting that many of the slain journalists were corrupt. “Kaya namamatay kasi karamihan diyan nabayaran na. They take sides or sobrahan ang atake, getting personal,” he said.

Rodrigo Duterte apologizes to ABS-CBN

A reporter from GMA Network was able to ask Duterte,  “Yung mga network namin are being attacked by your supporters ang sinasabi ‘bias daw kami, binabayaran daw kami.'”

Duterte replied, “Hindi ang GMA! GMA hindi kasali diyan. Alam naman ninyo kung sino ang nagrereport ng basura. ‘Wag naman ang GMA.”

During last night’s presscon, Duterte urged the viewers to tune in to PTV4 if they really want to see the best news on what the upcoming administration has to offer to the Filipino people since that’s the only media station that this administration can control. He then addressed Manila-based reporters and said that he hates giving interviews and they can ask Davao City-based journalists about it. “Huwag kayong pumunta. Make it a first in the history of this Republic. Do not cover me… PTV-4 nalang kayo makinig. I am asking you guys do not ever ever come back,” he said.

“I am telling the networks. Do not come here. I do not need you. I will just go around and tell the people that this is the program of government and you would know it,” he added.
