The latest romantic comedy movie featuring Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza titled “Imagine You & Me” earned more than ₱120 million after one week of showing in more than 180 theaters nationwide. The announcement was revealed through Kapuso reporter Gorgy Rula’s Instagram account.
According to Gorgy, the AlDub movie reached an unprecedented success during its first week of showing as it conquered the Philippine box office in terms of local movies.
On Instagram, Gorgy said, “Got this info from our reliable source, naka-120M na raw ang #ImagineYouAndMe as of Sunday July 17 pa lang. On its 1st week, still showing at 180 theaters! Ibang klase talaga ang #aldubnation naks! #thankYouLord”
In the first day of the AlDub movie, the gross receipt of the movie reached ₱21 million on opening day, making it highest Pinoy movie to register such a huge box office gross on its first day of showing nationwide so far in 2016.
