Star Cinema’s “The Super Parental Guardians” closes opening day with ₱75M gross

Star Cinema’s “The Super Parental Guardians” is no doubt a super duper mega blockbuster hit in cinemas nationwide!

On Instagram this morning, Star Cinema shared an updated first day gross, “Wow! Sobrang record-breaking talaga ang #TheSuperParentalGuardians! Congrats to the whole team and maraming maraming salamat Kapamilya! To God be the glory! Showing pa rin po ito in cinemaa nationwide!”

After earning ₱68 million as of 11:00pm yesterday, “The Super Parental Guardians” closed day 1 with ₱75 million gross nationwide. It’s obviously now the runaway winner in terms of first day gross set by KathNiel via “Barcelona: A Love Untold” this year and AlDub via “My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore” on all time.

“The Super Parental Guardians,” headed by director Joyce Bernal, is about a tough-talking gang leader forced to take care of his orphaned nephews with the loud, gay friend of his late sister-in-law. It also features breakout childhood stars Simon “Onyok” Pineda and Awra Briguela, who were Martin’s co-stars in the ABS-CBN primetime series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
