Atom Araullo shares tips for women in “Red Alert’s” Women’s Day Special

On “International Women’s Day,” Kapamilya anchor Atom Araullo takes on a pressing issue for women nowadays – sexual harassment while on public transport.

Several stories of women being harassed while riding the jeepney, train, or bus have gone viral on social media. One is the story of Pauline, who was able to take a video of a jeepney barker who was trying to get her attention while touching his private part.

A fellow commuter, Ryiene Espino, also became talk of the town when her photo with a bandaged wrist was shared, after she hit a man that tried to take advantage of her while on the train.

Nag viral ang litrato ni Riyene Espino na nabenda pa ang kamay matapos suntukin ang nambastos sa kanya sa loob ng tren

This Wednesday (March 8) on “Red Alert,” Atom will share tips on how women can protect themselves while in public spaces. He will also do a social experiment to show how prevalent sexual harassment is on the streets.
