Kapuso fans have noticed Jackie Rice’s sudden improvement in terms of acting. Well, according to the Kapuso actress, there is a particular person that is helping her to make her acting chops more effective.
The “Starstruck” almuna is one of the cast of “My Love from the Star”, a Pinoy adaptation of the hit Korean series of the same name.
During her interview with “24 Oras”, Jackie revealed that Joyce Bernal, the director of the show, has played a big role in her acting career. “Isang malaking tulong siya sa akin, ‘yun ang daming nakakapansin ng acting ko dito. Ang laking tulong ni Direk Joyce, isa siya sa secret recipe,” she said.
Jackie also stressed she is comfortable to work with Direk Joyce because of the director’s barkada-like treatment to her actors.
“Parang barkada mo siya sa set so mas magiging kumportable ka, hindi ka mahihiya mas magagawa mo ng tama ‘yung pinapagawa niya,” she emphasized.
Jackie plays the Lucy Yuzon, the best friend of Steffi, the character of Jennylyn Mercado. According to the actress, she does not find the role difficult because she and Jennylyn are friends in real-life.
She also shared her moments with the Ultimate Star. Jackie said, “Magugulat na lang sila like minsan nagdala ako ng food and then minsan si [Jennlyn] may pa-fruits; ‘yan, laging ganun. Buffet!”
