The customer is always right, says an old slogan which exhorts service staff to give high priority to customer satisfaction. This is supposed to ring true even up to this day.
But TV host and actress Alex Gonzaga recently shared her unpleasant experience dining at a Korean restaurant where she and her friends were treated rudely by the manager.
Alex Gonzaga turned to social media to share her bad experience at a restaurant in Ortigas.
Based on her story, Alex politely asked the manager to change their beef belly order with less fat when the Korean manager/owner started shouting at them explaining that they’re not allowed to do that. According to her, even the waiters were not properly treated by the said foreigner. Alex then told the Korean manager that she shouldn’t be rude to any customers especially because she’s in the Philippines.
“It’s because of us [customers] that they have their business and they are earning,” wrote Alex on her post.
She also shared the lesson the incident has taught her, “Don’t let anyone especially foreigners disrespect you in your own country.”
