Starting Monday, August 21, Heart Evangelista will take on a new role in the first ever Filipino-Korean romantic comedy series “My Korean Jagiya”.
She will breathe life to Gia, a quirky and hopeless romantic girl often teased that she is next in her family to become an old maid. Apart from being a Korean grade school tutor, she is also an ultimate K-drama fan girl who is determined to meet her long-time crush and Korean superstar, Kim Jun Ho, played by Alexander Lee, who has since fallen off the radar and stepped out of the limelight at the height of his career.
The actress said it’s an honor to work with Lee, a former member of the popular K-pop group U-Kiss, and other Korean actors as they share good times in the set.
Partly shot in South Korea, the show will also feature the most scenic spots used in the famous K-dramas including Nami Island, Namsan Park, love padlocks at N Seoul Tower and Daejanggeum Park.
“My Korean Jagiya” is under the direction of Mark Reyes and will air weekdays only on GMA Telebabad.
