  • AlDub fans affected Alden and Maine’s life and career.
  • Maine Mendoza is yet to come back in hosting “Eat Bulaga!”.

According to many rumors, Alden Richards, 1/2 of AlDub, is looking for a new love team. Reports suggest that the Pambansang Bae will star in the Philippine version of the hit Koreanovela, “Descendants of the Sun” in 2018.

However, Maine Mendoza, the other half of AlDub, will not be his love interest in the said series. Alden and Maine last appeared in the primetime teleserye, “Destined To Be Yours.”

Rumors suggest that the said teleserye is their first and last show as a love team in GMA-7. Apparently, in the hit Koreanovela adaptation, “My Love from the Stars,” Alden was scheduled to portray Matteo Domingo. This meant the start of his love team with Jennylyn Mercado.

The project has not even started yet when AlDub fans threatened the creators that they won’t support the teleserye if Maine isn’t Alden’s partner. Gil Cuervo ended up portraying Matteo and Jennylyn’s love interest.

in the meantime, Maine has been quiet. She has not shown up in any recent Eat Bulaga episodes after her open letter to her fans.

The open letter consists of gratefully thanking her supportive and protective fans. But also, calling them out on hurting people involved in her life. She was happy that she didn’t need to pretend just for people to support her.

Maine loves making people happy until it stopped making her happy. She also admitted the status of her relationship with Alden.

After being hospitalized due to food poisoning, Alden went back to hosting Eat Bulaga. But after her controversial letter, Maine hasn’t been back on the show.
