If ever Derek Ramsay would go back to ABS-CBN or any production under Star Cinema, he confirmed that he can work with his ex-girlfriend, Angelica Panganiban.
In an interview with PEP.ph, he confirmed: “Of course.”
He also added, “I’ve said that ever since. Angel is one of the best actresses out there. Biased man ang dating because she was my girlfriend, but she’s a brilliant actress. So ako, kung mabibigyan ako ng opportunity to work with her at maganda ang script. Most definitely.”
Then, Derek shared how they almost worked together for a movie after their breakup.
“Muntik na kaming magkatrabaho before. She agreed to do the movie, pero schedule lang.”
Unfortunately, the said movie didn’t push through. It would have been their first movie together after their separation.
Derek and Angelica have reconnected before. Angelica greeted him for his birthday so he gave her a call. Angelica shared that she is trying to redecorate her house. Derek offered to give her contacts he had when he redecorated his house.
“She greeted me one time for my birthday and out of the blue. So I gave her a call. A little bit of chit-chat, reminisce, and then, after that, nagsabi siya na she’s trying to decorate, yung house niya. So I told her I’m willing to help her, I can give her my contacts who helped me with my house.”
Then after that, they both became busy. Derek shared that when he got back from a vacation in Italy, he called a friend who went to Siargao. Angelica was with his friend so she answered the phone and they were able to talk.
“Naging busy kami, we didn’t talk and then, yun, tumawag ako sa kaibigan ko sa Siargao, siya ang sumagot.”
Derek also shared his thoughts on Angelica’s love life.
“Angel will be okay. Angel will find the right guy. Imposibleng she doesn’t. She’s a wonderful lady. She’s a sweetheart and she’ll find a right man, and that’s what I hope for. She will find a right guy who will treat her right.”
