Here’s why Shaina Magdayao no longer believes in New Year’s Resolutions

  • Shaina Magdayao doesn’t believe that New Year’s Resolutions come true.
  • Instead of having a resolution, she would rather have a lifetime goal.
  • She also mentioned that change would be better if taken one step at a time.

During a sit down interview with LionhearTV, Shaina Magdayao admitted why she no longer believes in New Year’s Resolutions. Although she confessed that she used to believe, she clarified that her resolutions later became lifetime goals.

She will star in an upcoming drama-revenge series Asintado which will air on January 15, Monday in ABS-CBN Gold.

Shaina admitted that she used to believe in New Year’s Resolution but not anymore. She shared that she knows that it doesn’t come true, just a mentality that most people have when celebrating the New Year. Although, instead of having a resolution, she strives for a lifetime goal.

“Yung New Year’s Resolution ko noon na to be healthy, matagal ko na siyang in-envibe, matagal ko na siyang ginagawa. Little by little kesa ‘yung one major change.”

Shaina also mentioned that change would be better if done one step at a time.

“Mas maganda ‘yung one step at a time. In anything in life, in any aspect, if parang one step at a time little by little, you try to make changes and then, after ‘nun, makikita mo na parang ang layo na pala ng narating mo.”

She began to explain how it would be more effective rather than doing major change.

“Mas paninindigan mo siya kesa sa one big ‘Maglo-lose ako ng 25 pounds!’ Hindi nagiging totoo, hindi natutupad ‘yun.”

Also part of Asintado‘s powerhouse cast: Lorna Tolentino, Cherry Pie Picache, Lito Pimentel, Agot Isidro, Nonie Buencamino, Gloria Sevilla, Aaron Villaflor, Louise delos Reyes, Julio Diaz, Empress Schuck, Chokoleit, Ryle Santiago and Karen Reyes. Under the direction of Onat Diaz and also, Lino Cayetano.

Armed with love and revenge, Asintado will air on January 15, Monday on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN HD.
