After Broadway star Lea Salonga expressed admiration on his acting performance in MMFF 2017 entry “Ang Larawan,” Kapamilya actor took to Twitter to thank the award-winning singer for her encouraging words.
The “Asintado” actor admitted that he doubted himself and thought that singing part might affect his performance.
“Always doubted myself doing a musical part due to the singing parts might affect my performance,” he wrote.
Paulo also said that those encouraging words helped him to build his confidence to tackle more challenging roles in the future.
“Reading messages like this helps build my confidence to tackle even more challenging roles. Thank you @MsLeaSalonga,” he ended.
Lea then replied, “You’re welcome! Your hard work and dedication were evident on that screen.”
In the recent MMFF 2017 Gabi Ng Parangal, “Ang Larawan” won major awards such as Best Picture and Best Actress for Joanna Ampil to name a few.
