When they first came to the Philippines in 2012, Foster the People lit up the entire Araneta Coliseum with “Torches” and turned their concert into a non-stop dance party that left their thousands of fans wanting more.

Now after five years, Foster The People makes their highly anticipated return up close and personal concert, and this time they are bringing the “Sacred Hearts Club Tour” to the KIA Theater on Friday January 26, 2018.

The band, founded in 2009 by Mark Foster (vocals) is now composed of Sean Cimino (guitar), Isom Innis (keyboard) and Mark Pontius (drums).  They first burst into the indie scene with their massively popular single “Pumped Up Kicks” which took home numerous awards and made them one of the most successful bands of the year.

Since then, they have been filling concert venues and dance-floors all over the world performing at some of the biggest international music festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury and Lollapalooza.

With millions of album sold and a lot more hits from their latest album such as “Doing It for the Money” and “Sit Next to Me” it’s no wonder that all their Pinoy fans are excited and ready to party all over again.

Here are six reasons why everybody is ready with their Pumped Up Kicks for Foster The People:

  1. Their debut album Torches, debuted at #8 on Billboard eventually selling nearly two million albums and over nine million singles worldwide. The album featured the #1 hit single “Pumped Up Kicks” and spawned several other chart topping singles such as “Don’t Stop (Color On The Walls),” “Houdini,” and “Helena Beat.” Foster the People garnered three Grammy nominations for its monumental debut, including Best Alternative Album, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Pumped Up Kicks” and Best Short Form Music Video for “Houdini.”
  2. The other songs in  Torches were also hits and was used in TV series and commercials; “Pumped Up Kicks” (Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries, Friends with Benefits, Entourage), “Houdini” (Gossip Girl); “Helena Beat” (The Vampire Diaries); “Don’t Stop (Color on the Walls)” (Suits, Nissan Motors commercial); and “Call It What You Want” (FIFA 12).
  3. Their viral hit “Pumped Up Kicks,” was declared “the year’s anthem” by SPIN and was the most streamed song on Spotify in 2011. It was also the first song to top both Billboard’s Alternative Songs and Dance Airplay charts and was the sixth-best-selling digital song of the year, with 3.84 million copies sold.
  4. “Supermodel, the second full-length record from Foster the People, was influenced by frontman Mark Foster’s world travels and shifting perspective, the album was recorded in studios around the world and features fan favorites including “Coming of Age” and “Best Friend.”
  5. Their third album “Sacred Hearts Club” proves that Foster the People’s genius extends beyond one genre fusing elements of neo-psychedelia, punk, funk, soul, electronic, dance and hip-hop while still maintaining signature Foster the People indie-pop sound. It showcases band’s musical development and how the group can stay true to its art while being unrestrained by the expectations of listeners.
  6. A review of The Sacred Hearts Club Tour describes it as an “integration of all three albums into one evening made for spectacular variety. Foster the People “crafts albums like a collection of vignettes; the songs on each album are interwoven with similar themes, but each album is clearly independent of the others. “Sacred Hearts Club” is most distinguished by its elements of hip-hop, rap and psychedelic music.”
