Toni Gonzaga recalls being rejected when she was starting in showbiz

In an interview with Multimedia star Toni Gonzaga on late night talk show “Tonight With Boy Abunda,” the 33-year old actress-singer-TV host shared her job rejection before that she will never forget.

According to her, she felt her self-esteem drain out of her the moment she walked into the audition room.



The award-winning TV host said she was rejected during a casting call for a beauty product. She emphasized being surrounded by gorgeous women as she waited her turn.

“Magaganda talaga sila,” she said.

Toni further shared the moment she cried when she failed to enter the Top 3 of a national singing contest before. For her, this was not easy for as she really wanted to become a famous singer.

Toni, however, explained that these kinds of life experiences prepared her for more challenges as she entered showbiz. She considered these failures as her driving force to be great in everything she does as an artist.



Today, Toni is now a successful actress, TV host, endorser and a recording artist. Meanwhile, she in now hosting the newest season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” alongside Billy Crawford.
