- Cherry Pie Picache salutes Erich Gonzales on portraying triplets in The Blood Sisters.
- She acknowledges how she may be the strongest mother in Philippine television.
- She also expressed her gratitude to the people behind The Blood Sisters.
Cherry Pie Picache currently stars in two drama series in ABS-CBN Corporation. She portrays Celeste or Miss C in Asintado and also, Adele in The Blood Sisters.
In the recent Thanksgiving Media Conference, Cherry Pie revealed her feelings of happiness for the titular role herself, Erich Gonzales.
Cherry Pie first described her role as the biological mother of The Blood Sisters. She acknowledged how she may be, in fact, the strongest mother in Philippine television.
“I play the role of Adele. Ako ang isa sa- Ay, hindi, ako ang pinaka-powerful na nanay sa Philippine television. Kasi ako ang nag-luwal sa mga twins, triplets. But I would like to share to everyone, I know that the story of the triplets is… This is the second time it’s been shown on Philippine television pero gusto ko i-share na ibang iba ito. You know, the flavor, the hard work, the characters that Erich puts into each and every character, ibang iba.”
Cherry Pie continued to commend her co-star. She also added how Erich studies her script. She acknowledged that Erich’s hard work made her feel that maybe she should too.
“And I would really like to commend her. I think this is the first time that I’ve worked with her. ‘Yung sa mga eksena namin, game ka agad, eh. Meaning, acting-an agad ‘yung mga scenes namin. And I told this sa staff na sabi ko, ‘Ang tagal tagal ko nang hindi naka-trabaho uli ng bata na nakikita kong nag-aaral ng script.’ You know, she holds her script like it’s her bible. She studies her scenes, nagho-homework siya, pinag-aaralan niya. To a point na sabi ko, ‘Oh no, kailangan na mag-ano din ako.'”
She also continued that Erich makes her feel very inspired. Cherry Pie admits that sometimes an actress like her can become complacent.
“It’s very inspiring, eh. Tapos sa amin na medyo matagal nang gumagawa ng soap, diba? Parang sometimes you become complacent. Pero if you meet an actor, a co-actor, who studies her script. Pinaghahandaan niya yung eksena, ikaw din mapapa, ‘Ah, teka muna. Kailangan mag-aral din ako. Kasi kung hindi…’ So, kaya nakaka-inspire nga. I really commend her passion.”
Cherry Pie expressed her gratitude to the team who made The Blood Sisters possible.
“So, yun, of course I’m thankful always always for the blessings, sa Dreamscape for having me sa The Blood Sisters. I’m very proud of the team.”
