It seems that Queen Regine already passed her crown to her successor!
In the recently concluded concert of the Kapamilya singer Morissette Amon titled “Morisette Is Made,” Asia’s Songbird declared her as one of the new queens of the music industry.
With her more than three decades of musical journey, it is a no-brainer that Queen Regine already have the power to anoint a new royal singing superstar.
In front of the huge crown inside the Araneta Coliseum, Regine formally called the 21-year old singer a ‘queen.’ After their duet performance, the award-winning and commercially successful singer uttered the affirming words, which were met by thunderous applause from the audience numbering thousands.
“You are incredible. I am so happy for you. You deserve everything, all of the attention because you are such a talented young girl. Alam mo, gagaling ka pa.
“Natutuwa ako na you just waited for your turn, and now this is your turn. I just want to say I think we have produced another superstar,” Regine stated.
According to Regine, she was honored to be part of Morissette’s biggest concert to date.
“It’s an honor for me to be part of this concert and to actually see your star shine so bright. Kahit hindi man ako naging parte ng iyong career, I feel very proud,” she said.
After their second duet “You Are My Song,” Regine clearly proclaimed that the new queen is born.
“Queen ka na. Hindi mo na kailangan ng baton ng iba. Hindi ko kailangan ipasa ang baton, because for me, I think, you are already a queen,” Regine pronounced.
At an early age, Morissette already has a wealth of experience in the music world, having joined a TV5 talent search at age 14, and with theater roles including “Camp Rock” even before her finalist finish in “The Voice of the Philippines” in 2013.
