‘Comedy Queen’ Ai Ai delas Alas is now a talent manager.
The 53-year old comedienne-actress signed management contract with rap group Ex-Battalion.
Aside form being an actress, comedienne and TV host, the ‘Comedy Concert Queen’ Ai Ai Delas Alas is now a talent manager. The 53-year old actress signed a management contract with the rap group and YouTube sensation Ex-Battallion.
According to Ai Ai, she was accidentally introduced to the rap group by a staff member of her GMA comedy show with Vic Sotto, ‘Bossing and Ai’.
“Gusto ko kasing mag-record ng kanta. She (the staff member) suggested na makipag-collaborate daw ako sa grupo kung gusto kong mag-hit ang kanta ko. Eh ‘yun naman talaga ang gusto ko, mag-hit. So, hinanap ko sila sa Youtube,” Ai shared.
Prior to saying ‘yes’ to manage the group, Ai talked to James Brando, one of the members and their acting manager.
“Ayaw pa nga niyang maniwala na ako ang tumatawag sa kanya. ‘Talaga bang si Ai Ai ito? The Ai Ai de las Alas?’ Tanong ni James. ‘Ako talaga ito,’ sabi ko. Nagkita kami at ayun, naniwalang ako talaga ‘yun,” Ai said.
Ai Ai’s collaboration with Ex-Battallion, ‘Walang Pinipili’ started to formed a friendship and later on talked about handling their careers.
Ex-Battalion has appeared in some GMA shows, which Ai Ai’s home network, like ‘Bubble Gang’ and ‘Sunday PinaSaya’. In the drawing board are more appearances, TV commercials and a US tour.
“Dadalhin ko sila sa Disneyland,” Ai Ai added.
It seems that the ‘Hayaan Mo Sila’ singers will be seen more often from now on in the mainstream scene after signing a contract with their new manager.
