The Grammy Award winner John Legend was back in Manila and brought the best out of his Filipino fans on a Wednesday concert (March 21, 2018).
It was his second time around here in the Philippines after his “All of Me” concert tour on 2014. Now, he is once again sharing his music for his latest album “Darkness and Light” World Tour.
Ecstatic as how the crowd was that night, John Legend blew the stage with his all-time favorite playlists including “Save Room”, “Tonight (Best You Ever Had), “P.D.A.”, “Ordinary People”, his own renditions of “Like I’m Gonna Lose You”, “Beauty and the Beast theme song”
He even gave a good rendition of “Lay Me Down” by the one and only Sam Smith.
What took the heart of the fans that night is that this guy is actually sending a message to the world. His concert isn’t just about pouring some music to one’s ear but opening everyone’s eyes, that we need to always give a good fight towards equality. No matter what we do, or for what purpose our action is, it should always put one’s intention to fairness.
John Legend ended the night with his classic “All of Me” while making a good sway on his keyboard. To be fair, everyone’s hoping it is not his last visit here in the Philippines.
Indeed, a combination of Contemporary RNB, Neo-soul, and Pop Music filled the entire Araneta Coliseum that left the crowd with nothing but good feels as they made their way back home.
