• Porn aired on a digital billboard along Makati Avenue
  • The scene is either caused by software hacking or negligence of duty

The digital billboard in Executive Building Center in Makati Avenue is a strategic location to advertise, but probably not the best location to showcase pornographic videos.

A video by a netizen named Mulong Sermonia went trending when they captured the said digital billboard airing pornographic video. The netizen was inside a vehicle when he noticed the unusual video playing and immediately grabbed her phone to capture it.

In the video, a man can be seen pounding on top of his partner. A lot of people witnessed the scene, drivers and passers-by alike, even though it only appeared for a few seconds. The people in the video were not recognized.

In an interview by Inquirer.net, Sermonia mentioned, “Meron mga nakahintong naka-motor, yung ale napahinto at ibang mga driver ng van, L300 yata yun.”

The scene was probably caused by a TeamViewer malfunction, prank, straight carelessness, or hacking. TeamViewer is a computer software that uses remote access via the Internet, including file transfers and desktop sharing. Those who use the software can connect to any computer or server they want as if they were using it up front.

Netizens who have experience using the TeamViewer software also believed that the small window was an indication that the digital billboard was hacked. The hacker could be situated in the nearby buildings.

Apparently, most netizens believed that this just pure negligence of the operator.

Malicious attack

A report has been lodged before the police cybercrime office, Globaltronics said in a statement. Makati Mayor Abby Binay has ordered the shut down of the billboard and an investigation into the incident.

“The company is fully cooperating with the city government in seeking justice for this malicious attack, not only to Globaltronics but possibly to all similar digital media platforms,” it said.

“The company concurrently sees this case as an opportunity to commit itself and be at the forefront of the drive against cybercrime,” according to the statement, signed by Globaltronics chief operating officer Joseph Evangelista.
