‘My Perfect You’ movie hits box-office by earning a total gross of 100 million as of March 31. This was announced by Star Cinema via Instagram. However, netizens are not convinced.
The movie was released in cinemas last March 14 and it did quite a stir to Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo relationship. Bea unfollowed her boyfriend Gerald and 2015 Ms. Unvierse Pia Wurtzbach, the leading roles in the movie, on Instagram and deleted their photos. It was not certain why the actress did that, and she did not explain either.
Days after the controversy, Gerald and Bea appeared together in public again as if nothing happened. They seemed happy and there is no sign of a struggling relationship. Gerald even stated that Bea supported the movie and she was proud of him.
Everyone is still puzzled on what happened during the silent days of Bea and Gerald. Apparently, the dots appeared to finally connect when the movie grossed 100M in just a span of 15 days. Netizens can’t believe the said earnings.
@manalllopez, on Instagram, commented on the post by Star Cinema saying, “Hindi kapani paniwala, sarili lang natin niloloko natin hay naku todo promo na nga ginamit pa si bea alonzo. Matalino na ang tao ngayon at maraming Resibo, waley talaga yan pinilit lang, provide us legit resibo para maniwala kami wala ngang kapila pila.”
However, Star Cinema AdProm head Mico del Rosario replied to this accusation saying that they never use people in such manner, especially those who are not involved in the project. He even convinced @manalllopez to watch the movie and see for herself why they reached 100M.
Another netizen commented, “100M na daw po #alamna” which made Mico del Rosario kind of frustrated replying, “if hindi mo kaya maging masaya sa nagagawa ng ibang tao… Happy Easter sa iyo! :)”
Meanwhile, the people who are directly involved in the movie and the controversy remained quiet on the issue. Netizens are left with nothing but theories.
