On April 14, Saturday, Barbie took to Twitter to express her dismay. According to an interview with BALITA.net, she also wished that cinemas would bring it back to theaters.

In the said interview, Barbie commended the movie not because she and Derrick starred in it. They appreciated the movie they had made and hoped people would, too.

In the said tweet, Barbie wrote how sad she felt.

“Nakakalungkot na may mga taong gustung manood ng Almost A Love Story sa lugar nila pero hindi na palabas 💔pinull out agad 👎🏻.”

On the other hand, Derrick and Barbie will star in Inday Always Love You with Kim Rodriguez and Juancho Trivino.
