- Star Cinema finally released the official movie gross of “I Love You, Hater”.
- The movie earned ₱5 million on its opening day.
- As expected, the movie earned more during the weekends.
Kris Aquino, Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia’s “I Love You, Hater” is off to a blazing start after just four days since its premiere. The movie began its run on Wednesday (July 11), raking in ₱5 million (unofficial). It earned roughly an additional ₱35 million from Thursday to Sunday (July 15) evening, Star Cinema said.
Benefiting from its massive fan base and impressive word-of-mouth and good reviews from reputable movie sites, cinemas have noted a repeat in the views, not just twice but as much as reaching a fourth recurrence.
From its modest 200 screens, “I Love You, Hater” admissions have managed to reach more over its opening weekend and according to Star Cinema, the movie is currently showing in 240 screens nationwide.
Directed by Giselle Andres and produced by Star Cinema, “I Love You, Hater” is the third big-screen project of Barretto and Garcia, following the massive success of “Vince & Kath & James” and “Love You to the Stars and Back.” This marks their first team-up with Aquino, who is making her film comeback.
