- Sass Sasot made an error in one of her tweets.
- Ethel Booba mocked Sass on her mistake regarding the People Power Revolution in 1986.
- In Sass’ tweet, she compared the 1986 EDSA and Mendiola Massacre in 1987.
Pro-Duterte blogger Sass Sasot shared that she was just three years old when People Power Revolution or also known as EDSA 1986 happened. She, however, mentioned a wrong year.
Ethel Booba, on the other hand, mocked her for the error.
Comparing 1986 EDSA to 1987 Mendiola Massacre.
According to Sass, the Marcos administration was competent in not dispersing the people who gathered for the Revolution. She, then, continued that the Aquino administration was incompetent which led to the violence and deaths at the Mendiola Massacre.
“I was 3 years old when 1966 EDSA happened, which was bloodless because the Marcos government didn’t disperse the folks gathering at EDSA. I wasn’t yet aware of what was going on at that time. But I was already…
aware of the 1987 Mendiola Massacre. Saw it happened as we lived on Recto Avenue, very few metres from Mendiola. Our family sheltered some of the farmers violently dispersed by the Aquino Administration that was catapulted to power by the so-called bloodless revolution.”
As of this writing, Sasot had already edited what she wrote on her Facebook account.
The Beatles concert in 1966.
Ethel pointed out that The Beatles concert in 1966 was also bloodless. She mentioned how the band had unintentionally snubbed the former first lady Imelda Marco‘s invitation. This led to the band being banned from the Philippines.
“I’m not yet 3 years old like Sass when 1966 The Beatles concert happened, which was bloodless when they unintentionally snubbed the first lady Marcos invitation. I wasn’t yet aware of what’s happening at that time but I’m aware that EDSA Revolution happened in 1986. Charot!”
Ethel to Sasot’s sympathizers.
Some of Sasot’s fans bashed Ethel for being inconsiderate. She responded and hilariously fired back.
“Nasa kanan po yung exit. Pakibilisan lang po at mahaba ang pila. Charot!”
“A wise mother once said “Hindi ako nagkulang nang pangangaral sayo. Pinagaral kita sa mabuting school sa San Beda. Walang tinurong ganyan matigas ang ulo mo. Tigil mo na ang katarantaduhang yan. Di mo pakikinabanggan yang perang yan. Kami ni singko di nakinabang dyan.” Charot!”
Sass had been the subject of ridicule after she confronted BBC reporter Jonathan Head for featuring a “very minor” blogger on the sidelines of the Asean Summit held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
