- The singer is utterly grateful for the second chance ABS-CBN gave her.
The Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez expresses her deepest gratitude to ABS-CBN for making her the center of attention once more.
During her interview on “Rated K” with Korina Sanchez, the singer admitted that she is fully aware that it’s no longer her time.
She also added that she just got lucky that ABS-CBN gave her the attention and exposure she once had in her younger years.
“I’m very aware that it’s no longer my time, kasi binibigyan ka naman ng time. Kanya-kanya lang ng time and I’m very aware of that,” Regine started.
“Nandito na ako sa time ng career ko na ganu’n na.
“Ako naman kasi praktikal akong tao at saka nare-recognize ko naman ’yung pinamamalagi ko sa industriyang ito.
“I’m very aware of where I am now.”
In February this year, we recalled Regine talking about her dwindling appeal. Luckily, ABS-CBN turned the table and placed her on top again.
Regine added, “Parang pa isa-isa na lang pero eto nagsisimula ako ulit, pero exciting siya, parang nag-second wind nga ako.
“More than anything else, ganun pala yun bumabalik ka sa unang una mong love, first love mo which is singing.
“Maraming, maraming salamat sa ABS-CBN for giving me this chance and for taking me back.”
Regine Velasquez can now be seen regularly every Sunday noon on “ASAP” which will be taking on a new format come November 18.
