- Liza Soberano sustained a finger injury while shooting the now-defunct series Bagani.
- She underwent a minor surgery to get the injured finger fixed.
- Fans believed that the surgery was the reason why Darna was delayed, Liza explained.
The lastest news on Liza Soberano’s Darna was that, the filming was moved to 2019. It was then followed by the news that the LizQuen movie by Black Sheep Productions will be released prior to the superhero flick. There were speculations as well that the young female star had a minor finger operation from an injury she sustained while taping Bagani; and it did delay the filming of the iconic comic heroine created by Mars Ravelo.
Soberano cleared the matter and explained: “I had to get it fixed lang to just to make it more mobile.
“Di naman nag-stop ang Darna because of my finger. I think they are adjusting the script and there are few other things that are adjusting.
“We are just waiting for the adjustments and I think they are giving the time to focus on this movie first. As soon as we finish with this movie, babalik na kami.”
Meanwhile, Soberano also expressed excitement for her upcoming movie with Enrique Gil under the direction of Antoinette Jadaone.
“I’m really excited to do this movie with Quen, kasi it’s been a while since we have a comeback on the big screen so I’m very excited for that.
“Sa story naman ang mase-share ko lang, I’m going to be an Art Studies major at UP Diliman and my character is very passionate, very driven, very ambitious.
“After eight years, my character and his character meet again and makikita natin if I’m still the person I was when I was still in my college days and if he has change in any way.”
Liza Soberano continued, “Yeah, matured in terms of like I guess the way we speak, how we carry ourselves. I’m going to be portraying a role that is older than who I really am so medyo mahirap on my part.
“Si Quen I guess he’s going to be playing a character at his age bracket so medyo kaya na niya. The task for me is to learn how to gain that sense of maturity.”
Enrique Gil is currently in America with his family to celebrate Christmas. The filming of their upcoming movie is expected to commence as soon as the young actor returns.
