The Philippine archipelago is known for its rich marine life being situated within the Coral Triangle. For the longest time, the country has been one of the favorite spots for underwater and marine photographers.
This year, the Department of Tourism (DOT) conducted the Anilao Underwater Shoot to prove that the Philippines is still one of the best spots in the world for underwater photography.

The panel of judges were some of the most respected names in the underwater photography namely widely published French naturalist photographer and marine biologist Laurent Ballesta; award-winning Belgian underwater and wildlife photographer Ellen Cuylaerts; macro photography expert and 2015 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Indra Swari; renowned Singapore-based underwater photographer William Tan; and Underwater360 founder and Asia Dive Expo’s official organizer John Thet.
