Barbie Forteza doesn’t have plans of transferring to another network

  • ‘Kara Mia’ has been trending online prior to its pilot episode
  • Will the feedback it made on social media replicate to its rating as it airs on TV?

Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza is set to star in the upcoming GMA Network series ‘Kara Mia,’ which has been trending on social media prior to its pilot episode.

The production team is hoping that the favorable feedback that it generated would replicate to its ratings as it starts airing the episodes.

The actress has been in the Kapuso Network for the past 10 years and she said that she wants to remain in the network. During the press launch of ‘Kara Mia,’ Barbie expressed her gratitude for the trust that GMA Network has given to her during her whole stay with the station.

“Ibinabalik naman sa akin ng management at ng network yung loyalty ko sa kanila and parang hindi ko na-i-imagine yung sarili ko sa ibang network, Kapuso talaga ako,” she said.

“Sila yung unang nagtiwala sa akin, sila yung unang nagbigay sa akin ng chance, kasi gusto ko talaga mag artista.

“Hindi ako sa GMA agad nag-audition, nag-audition din ako sa iba, pero GMA ang tumanggap sa akin.

“So, bakit ako aalis eh sila yung nagtiwala sa akin?”

Barbie played the lead role in several GMA Network dramas including ‘Anna KareNina,’ ‘The Half Sisters,’ ‘Meant to Be,’ and ‘Inday Will Always Love You.’

Barbie topbills GMA Network’s newest fantasy-drama ‘Kara Mia’ with Mika Dela Cruz, Jak Roberto, Paul Salas, Carmina Villarroel, John Estrada, and Glydel Mercado.
