During their interview on ‘Tonight with Boy Abunda’ last January 15, Julia Barretto admitted that the reason why she prefers wearing nipple tape, instead of a brassiere, is because it has nothing ‘to hold on to’ in her body.
When Joshua Garcia was asked what his thoughts were on Barretto’s daring style, he expressed concern that the young actress sometimes does not don underwear like cycling shorts and a bra. “Si Julia, di sya nag-iingat minsan sa susuotin nya,” he said. “Tapos minsan wala pa syang cycling, tas minsan di sya nag-aano [bra], nipple tape lang nilalagay nya.”
Julia explained that she, like other women, is not comfortable wearing a bra. “Ako naman din walang kakapitan ‘yung bra,” she frankly stated, earning laughs from Abunda and Garcia. “So mas masakit talaga kasi nagta-try naman yung bra ko eh, pero wala talaga syang makapitan.”
“Sa bra naman, pwede naman, mag-baby bra ka na lang,” he jokingly whispered to the young actress.
Barretto replied, “Tingnan mo, pati nga baby bra di kumakapit sa ‘kin, kaya nga tape lang nga, eh.”

On Friday, the 21-year-old actress posted a photo of her holding the fresh purchase of nipple tapes in bulk, “100 NIPPLE TAPES KASI ITO LANG ANG KAYANG KUMAPIT.”
