This was disclosed by producer Black Sheep in its Instagram account, announcing that the LizQuen film grossed an exact total of P21,672,901.58 million at the Philippine box-office on February 13.

The team extended their gratitude to everyone who supported the film on its first day by saying, “We’re putting our hearts up dahil kayo ang great love namin, Sheepmates! You guys really brought it, and we are beyond excited to have you all as our Valentine 🖤🖤🖤 #AloneTogetherThisVDay”

The movie director Antoinette Jadaone, who first worked with the loveteam LizQuen, also extended her appreciation saying, “Maraming salamat sa lahat ng mga nanood sa unang araw pa lang!!! Lalo sa mga kaibigan kong hindi ko naman pinilit pero Day 1 pa rin nanood.”

On the first screening of the film, there were about 280 cinemas nationwide that opened their big screens to display the movie. And because of its high demand, more cinemas were made available on its second day of screening; opening about 300 cinemas more while adding 20 more nationwide.

And in only 2 days, ‘Alone/Together’ has grossed around P61.9 million in ticket sales.

Grabe, Sheepmates 😭🖤😭🖤 You gave us all your luvin’ and we’re super grateful! Thank you for being our Valentine’s date this year 🥰 #AloneTogetherFriDate

Recently, all other Pinoy films that were previously released didn’t gain box office success. It even became an issue where the Filipino film industry was facing an ‘alarming’ situation’ after going through a series of released movies that flopped in the cinemas over its week of screening; where it was not able to recoup and/or earn its targeted revenue.

Different personalities, filmmakers, and artists expressed their concern online by calling the attention of the netizens and the government, questioning what went wrong with the films and asking for their support.

Knowing that LizQuens movie will open during these times of ‘downfall’ was something to worry about. But this didn’t let the team be bothered and still continued on marketing the film.

On February 10, Sunday, they guested in the comedy talk show ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’ for the main purpose of promoting their upcoming film. The two were put to a lie detector as they were to answer Vice’s questions. When asked about their relationship status, both of them admittedly said that they already are together as a couple for more than two years now. This confession made netizens exhilarating with joy; being happy for the honesty of the couple.

Revealing their status was totally a plus for it did make a great impact in the promotion of their film, making it a success.

The film follows the love story of Christine and Raf, ex-college sweethearts who meet again after five long years during a turning point in their lives. The questions of ‘what if?’ puts them on the road to renew their romance, but circumstances prohibit both as the two of them are involved with someone else.
