Regine Velazquez-Alcasid has been part of ‘ASAP Natin ‘To’ from the time she returned to ABS-CBN. She’s been in the program for several months, but until now she never had a chance to have a duet with Jed Mandela on the show.
“Sa concert ko, nag-duet na kami. Pero sa ‘ASAP,’ wala pa. Ako naman, looking forward na maka-duet ko rin siya. Saka ano rin kasi, ang alam ko, usually, based ‘yan sa social media din, kung ano ‘yung hinihingi ng mga tao. Like for example, si Regine saka si Sarah (Geronimo), Regine saka si KZ (Tandingan). ‘Di ba sobrang pumatok din ‘yung duet nila?,” Jed shared on the online program, Showbiz Pamore Tonight with Mildred Bacud at Rodel Fernando.
Many have noticed that he seldom appears on the show, unlike before that he’s visible every Sunday. He explained that it’s because of the new format that’s offering a different kind of show to its viewers.

“Siguro kasama du’n sa bagong reformat ng ‘ASAP,’ siyempre we have to adjust din sa change. Hindi naman puwedeng pare-pareho lang for the longest time. Siyempre, minsan, mauumay din ‘yung mga tao na in a sense, kailangan magbigay din tayo ng bago sa kanila.”
He further explained, “Hindi naman ibig sabihin, hindi na kami laging nakikita, hindi na kami part ng ‘ASAP.’ We’re still part ng ‘ASAP,’ ‘yun nga, niro-rotate-rotate lang. For example, there are times na mag-i-experiment, magdu-duet si ganito saka si ganyan. May experimentation na nangyayari diyan. So, tinitingnan nila kung ano ‘yung magwo-work.”
